Cave Creek recall election heated

they claim are trying to undo results from a previous election.

Ballots went out Thursday in a heated Cave Creek recall election that has pitted four incumbent councilmen against four challengers hoping to replace them.

Cave Creek Caring Citizens, a political group, filed petitions last fall to recall Vice Mayor Adam Trenk and Councilmen Mike Durkin, Reg Monachino and Charles Spitzer.

The four seats are up for grabs in the town’s March 10 election. Voters will choose between two candidates for each seat.
