Pity poor Salt River Project. The honchos who run the place ask for a rate increase and what do they get? Grief.

I mean, come on, people. Everybody knows college tuition is going up, up, up. What’s a poor utility executive to do, other than take another dive into your pocket?

SRP has proposed a 3.9 percent across-the-board rate increase on its customers, plus another $50 a month from its solar customers. This, to generate an extra $110 million utility execs say is needed to pay for power.

And other things, as it turns out.
