Last week saw a flurry of activity as city officials shared information, online and at board and commission meetings, about possibly selling and relocating Foothills Branch Library, while community members generally continued to oppose those plans.
Glendale City Council directed city officials at its Feb. 3 meeting to present the concept to three boards and commissions, so the members of those advisory panels could formulate recommendations for the council.
Last week saw three of those meetings, with considerable comment and attendance by members of the public. Erik Strunk, director of the community services department, and Chief Librarian Michael Beck led the presentations.
