Mesa light rail continuing to take shape, blend

With every passing day, the Central Mesa Extension Project of Valley Metro’s light rail system comes closer to completion.

The process is one step closer now that Valley Metro paid a $94,700 licensing fee to the city to build a traction power sub station in the Morris Street right of way.

The substation essentially powers the light rail’s overhead power lines that power the light rail trains.
