Foodies driving new in-fill restaurant development in central Phoenix

Some of the region’s top restaurateurs and restaurant designers are teaming up for a redevelopment project on Seventh Street near Missouri Avenue in Phoenix.

Bob Agahi and David Sellers’ Western Vertical Holdings have begun construction on the project called The Colony. They are rehabilitating the central Phoenix property.

The Herb Box — which has locations in Scottsdale — is among the first batch of restaurants committing to the project along with Stock & Stable (an American-themed restaurant from the owners of Clever Koi) and Pure Sushi, which has a location in Scottsdale.

They are slated to open in November.
