Welcome to Dealmaker’s Blockbuster Land Deals, a monthly report on the top commercial land deals in the Valley, based on filings with the Maricopa County Recorder.

Office space and apartments faced off in March for the top commercial transactions in the Valley.
Following a blistering streak for office space sales last month, transactions continued on a tear during the early part of March with about $176 million in office space sold.
Two Class-A office buildings took the top places in this month’s Blockbuster Land Deals – the Camelback Esplanade III in the Biltmore-area for $74.3 million and the Promenade Corporate Center in north Scottsdale, for $65 million, adjacent to the Promenade Retail Center and Scottsdale Airport.
But apartment sales were neck-in-neck with office sales completing about $179.45 million in multi-family transactions.
So far this year, high-end transactions have increased each month on the Blockbuster Land Deal list, with March peaking so far at $405.45 million in sales.
