[OPINION] Gilbert Mayor debunks NerdWallet tax survey

There are many reasons why the town of Gilbert has earned national accolades in recent months for being one of the best places to live in America and one of its safest cities.

We have a dynamic local economy, A-rated schools and an amazing quality of life. We also take great pride in keeping our taxes low while we deliver high-quality services. In fact, we have the lowest local tax burden of any municipality across Arizona. That’s right: Gilbert’s sales tax rate is the lowest in the state at 1.5%.
