An unexpected statement by the mayor has led the city staff to go back to the drawing board to accommodate the personnel requests of the Coolidge City Council.
Mayor Jon Thompson read a written statement he had prepared prior to the budget work session on May 11, calling for a re-allocation of funds from one position to create others. The statement was spurred by the citizen survey results collected in the past couple months, as well as the typically gloomy tone of the budget discussions.
