Mesa becomes a balanced housing market

A leading analyst says the Valley is turning into a buyer’s market for single-family homes and Mesa is edging  closer to that scenario.

Meanwhile, data for March from Phoenix Realtors, the Valley’s largest association of real estate professionals, indicated that a steady rise in home prices for Mesa homes on the market might be slowing down.

The 457 closed sales in Mesa last month represented a 2.4% year-over-year decline while the median sale price of those houses went up a mere 1.1% over March 2024 to $499,000. The average sale price of $549,776 was a 4.3% drop year over year, Phoenix Realtors data show.
