Ahwatukee Foothills woman snapped up solar before SRP rule change

Lynne Avril of Ahwatukee Foothills spends most of her days illustrating children’s books, and her current projects include three volumes of the “Amelia Bedelia” series.

In the book series for young children learning to read, character Amelia takes everything literally.

For example, when her mother is having a “grey” day, Amelia draws her a colorful mural. When her math teacher presents her with a question about fractions involving pie, she asks the flavor. When her parents tell her a new bike will cost an arm and a leg, well, she conjures a horrible picture in her head at how to pay that price.
