The closed Ahwatukee Lakes Golf Course, which has been the center of controversy over land use for the past two years, has been sold to The True Life Companies, a group of real estate companies whose goal is to provide lots and land to home builders.

“The True Life Companies is very pleased to complete this transaction and believe it is a unique property that plays an important role to all of the Ahwatukee Foothills,” David Sabow, managing director of Arizona for The True Life Companies, said in an email. “We are looking forward to adding value to the already thriving community and enhancing the area’s distinctive makeup. Although there are no set plans for the property at this time, we believe it is a special property in a desirable area and will be exploring how to best optimize the site for the benefit of the entire Ahwatukee Foothills community.”
