Gov. Doug Ducey has a plan to make good on a campaign promise, but he’ll need the voters to make it happen.
The first-term governor is expected Thursday to announced a major policy initiative to fund K-12 education.
The plan, according to sources with firsthand knowledge, would tap the state’s land trust account.
Many of the details are still unknown, but sources estimate that Ducey’s proposal would pump an additional $1.5 billion to $2 billion into K-12 education over the next five years.
