For many years, Glendale officials have done their best — which is to say, their level worst — to mask the financial impact on residents from its costly NHL hockey arena.
The dismal trend continues.
In a dispute over accuracy, an assistant Glendale auditor resigned in protest over her supervisor’s changes to an audit of arena revenue.
In her resignation letter, Andrea McDermott-Fields accused her boss, City Auditor Candace MacLeod, of changing the audit’s findings “in a way that is not acceptable to me or in accordance with the information that I have gathered.”
