On second try, Eloy OKs property tax hike

Even a minimal increase in property taxes is too much for some, but Eloy residents will see a slight uptick in their tax bills next year.

The Eloy City Council voted 5-2 on to set the property tax levy at the maximum amount allowable by law, which is $1.17 per $100 of assessed valuation.

This is a tax increase of about 3 cents. The former property tax rate was $1.14 per $100 of assessed valuation.
