Battle set as developer submits plans for tours, concerts, events, weddings at Wright House in Arcadia

The vision of transforming a spiraling home near the base of Camelback Mountain into a Phoenix destination celebrating Frank Lloyd Wright was embattled before a single plan was filed with the city.

But with the first documents submitted for the David and Gladys Wright House last week comes the start of the real fight for the site’s future. The developer, along with neighbors, community members and their lawyers, has for months been preparing to argue what should be allowed on the property.
