Glendale needs more time to find a permanent city manager.
“The city manager’s contract will most likely be extended until a city manager can be hired,” said city spokesperson Joe Hengemuehler in an Aug. 14 email.
The original contract with Dick Bowers was from Feb. 18 to May 15. Glendale City Council approved a contract extension in May to keep the acting city manager in office through Aug. 29.
