An anti-discrimination ordinance proposed nearly a year ago to protect lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender residents and visitors in Glendale is proving to be a divisive issue.
Four public meetings this summer revealed support for an ordinance, but there was opposition from those fearing a loss of religious freedom and many who said the city does not have a problem with discriminating against LGBT people, according to a report on the meetings released Thursday.
