The Arizona Corporation Commission has hired a new attorney to deal with ethical issues and handle public records requests.
The commission announced today that Christopher Kempley, a former advisor at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, will serve as special counsel.
Kempley’s role with the commission will be broad. In a news release, the commission said he will handle all records requests, and act as counsel on ethical and conflict of interest issues, ex parte rules, public policy questions and open meeting laws.
