Tucson in top 10 places for retirement

You’ve had your career and raised your family, and now it’s time to kick back and take it easy. Congrats, you’ve made it! You could probably stand to downsize now—and that’s making you one of the primary movers and shakers of 2016’s real estate market.

People aged 65 to 74 are expected to make up the third largest home-buying segment in 2016 (after millennials and Gen Xers), according to realtor.com® projections. This age group represents the oldest five years of the baby boomer generation and the youngest five years of the so-called silent generation. Last year, this group represented 14% of home buyers—as these members retire, they look to slash costs.
