Mayor Stanton, 4 council members sworn in to new terms [VIDEO]

Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton and four city council members were inaugurated to their new terms in ceremonies Monday morning.

Stanton faces his second four-year term leading the nation’s sixth-largest city. He was first elected on Nov. 8, 2011. He won re-election on Aug. 25.

He was sworn in by Phoenix Municipal Court Chief Presiding Judge B. Don Taylor III.

“My reelection is not a victory of one person or one party or one ideology,” Stanton said in his prepared remarks. “Rather, it is faith in our shared vision for the future.”
