Call it the “Boston boom.”
A building with a ground-level restaurant that has two outdoor patios, a second-floor cigar lounge and a rooftop bar is the latest in a string of projects fueling new energy along Boston Street in the heart of downtown Chandler. The building would extend the downtown patio dining scene along Boston farther west.
The project, expected to gain final approval from the city council, would involve tearing down most of an existing building at 111 W. Boston St., near the southwest corner of Boston and Oregon streets. The building is part of a row of structures west of Oregon that include The Religious Store, Compass Hair Studio and Burst of Butterflies art studio. Structures along the street are attached by common walls. The site eyed for the redevelopment is between two other spaces.
