Energy conference speakers call for innovative thinking

A utility regulator called on utilities and solar companies to think differently and come together to find innovative ways to address pressing issues like net metering.

At the Arizona Competitive Power Alliance’s annual energy conference today, Arizona Corporation Commission Chairman Doug Little noted nine major rate cases are expected to come before the commission in the coming year.

He particularly called the value of solar proceeding, a docket that will look at the costs and value of solar energy in the state, “one of the most significant” issues the commission will undertake.
