Bruce Merrill will be missed; prayers go out for his family

Historian: Noted pollster Bruce Merrill ‘was one of the most historically significant scholars and public figures at ASU.’

Bruce Merrill, a native Arizonan, Navy veteran and pioneer in the field of political behavior, passed away April 9 after a battle with cancer.

During his nearly four-decade tenure as a professor at Arizona State University (1968-2008) he taught in the Department of Political Science, the Center for Public Affairs, the Department of Communication, the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and served as a Senior Fellow at the Morrison Institute.
