National Democrats are launching their first attack ads in Arizona’s open 1st Congressional District, tying Republican House hopefuls to GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump.
The digital ads, playing online and on Facebook, highlight comments by Trump and House Republicans opposing abortion, Planned Parenthood, immigrants, Muslims and gay rights, according to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
None of the GOP candidates for the northeastern Arizona district is featured in the video. But DCCC spokesman Tyler Law said the contentious House race mirrors the presidential election.
