Developer has withdrawn his offer to gift the house to ASU

Arizona State University won’t be taking over or taking ownership of an Arcadia home designed by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

Zach Rawling, the owner of the David and Gladys Wright House near Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, had talked to ASU about a deal to take over the mid-century home. That deal won’t be happening.

The move was seen as a compromise in a fight between Rawling and some Arcadia neighbors over whether weddings and other events could be held at the Wright House.
