Bankers predicts 6% drop in new home sales

The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) has predicted a 6 percent decline in new home sales in May compared to April. The forecast is based on the association’s monthly Builder Applications Survey (BAS) of mortgage subsidiaries of homebuilders nationwide. The sales estimate does not include any adjustment for typical seasonal patterns.
