Christine Jones asks Arizona attorney general to probe voting ‘anomalies’ in CD5 race

Lawyers for Christine Jones are asking the state’s attorney general to examine the dramatic and statistically rare comeback by Andy Biggs in their disputed congressional primary.

Without directly claiming fraud, Jones’ team wants Mark Brnovich to “investigate the anomalies” that allowed Biggs to surge and Jones to collapse as the final votes were being tallied Sept. 2. Biggs appears to have won the race by 16 votes, though an automatic recount is expected to begin Tuesday.
