Cadence-AerialView-NorthFortini and Silver Fern Companies are the Bridge Between Developers and Builders in Mesa’s Newest Master-Planned Community in Expanding Mesa Gateway Corridor

(PHOENIX) – John Fortini of Silver Fern Companies has been selected by Harvard Investments as the construction project manager on Mesa’s newest master planned community, Cadence at Gateway (http://cadenceaz.com/). As an accomplished professional with a proven record of successful leadership in Arizona construction and development management, John becomes the bridge between developer Harvard Investments and the community’s builders.

“Harvard Investments gets it,” said John. “They are a very experienced/sophisticated group that understands the technical side of the project, but also what the builders need as a deliverable to the consumer.”

John has been collaborating with Harvard Investments on various projects for more than 15 years and as President and Managing Member, he has expanded Silver Fern Companies from a construction management company to a full-service construction management, land development, and real estate consulting firm. The firm has developed over 30,000 lots in just the past 10 years and were eager to work on the Cadence project with Harvard and other key partners including land planner Wendell Picket of Greey|Pickett and architect Bing Hu of H&S International.

“The attention to detail of the team on this project really makes it stand out, explained John. “It’s distinct from anything else going on in the Valley and better than anything done the past decade…it’s a great project to be part of.”

John and Silver Fern Companies have earned the reputation of adapting to meet the ever-changing market. The firm offers a wide range of services to provide continuity throughout a project’s entire timeline and focuses on building long-term relationships with clients and partners and making their visions reality.

“Our end game is to execute Harvard’s ,Wendell’s and Bing’s vision and deliver the premier project in the Valley right now,” said Fortini. “Cadence at Gateway is such an interesting departure from what we’ve seen in the past, it’s land plan is so unique and as its name implies, the community, architecture, landscape and design flow – as a truly well-thought out master-planned community.”

John holds a bachelor’s degree from the Del E. Webb School of Construction at Arizona State University. He began his career in construction management and land development, then later Residential Building Superintendent for Richmond American Homes / MDC Holdings in Phoenix, Arizona.

John concluded, “Harvard Investments has really taken the time to focus on what their customer wants, and as a team, we are focused on getting it right and creating something unforgettable for builders and homebuyers though the Cadence at Gateway community.”

John is a member of the Arizona Public Works Association, ASU Alliance for Construction Excellence, Home Builders Association of Central Arizona, Urban Land Institute, Valley Partnership, and the Turnaround Management Association. He is also an active member of Lambda Alpha International, and serves on the Men’s Art Council.
