Maricopa County judge allows more ballots in Arizona congressional race

A Maricopa County judge has ordered election officials to add 18 previously uncounted ballots to a disputed congressional primary, leaving in doubt who will lead the race when it heads to a complete recount next week.

The decision by Maricopa County Superior Court Joshua Rogers came just ahead of an official vote scheduled later Friday to certify the Aug. 30 election results to state officials.
