Scottsdale tourism dollars could pay to keep APS power lines out of WestWorld views

Scottsdale’s tourism dollars could stop some power lines from blocking views at a popular event site in the city.

Arizona Public Service Co., the state’s largest electric company, has plans to install power lines near Loop 101 and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard in October.

But those power lines would obstruct the views at WestWorld, the massive event space that is home to some of Scottsdale’s most popular events such as the Barrett-Jackson auto auction and Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show.
