Peoria/101 may be business park site

P83 Entertainment District and other areas in the central and northern areas of Peoria are not the only sites developers are evaluating for investment. Since the city sponsored an investment forum last March, which had 100 developers in attendance, it appears south Peoria may see some action.

City council, at its Oct. 18 meeting, approved a request from Economic Development Services Director Scott Whyte for an exclusive negotiation agreement (ENA) with Plaza Del Rio Management Corp. to serve as master developer for an office/business park project on 14 acres of land at Loop 101 and Peoria Avenue. The property is owned by the city.
