Scottsdale Skye on McDowell subdivision looks to move into phase two

The city of Scottsdale is hoping to enter phase two of its Skye on McDowell by seeking the approval of a resolution and ordinance that would help move the project forward at the city’s Monday, Oct. 10 city council meeting.

Both resolutions focus on a 3.2-acre site adjacent to the already-approved site that will feature 58 lots. If approved, the site would add an additional 21 units to the subdivision, bringing the total to 79 units, according to a city staff proposal.

However, to get to that point, the city would need to change the use of the 3.2-acre site from mixed use neighborhoods to urban neighborhoods through a non-major amendment to the city of Scottsdale General Plan 2001, the proposal states.
