Plans for a large housing community in far north Peoria just got a little closer to breaking ground.
Peoria City Council approved a rezoning and development agreement for the Lake Pleasant Heights major planned community district.
It was a yes vote from all council members, but some at the dais and a few residents had reservations.
The Council’s vote allowed the development to increase the maximum number of residential dwelling units from 5,970 to 6,561. Council also approved a development agreement, which defines a number of conditions governing the development of the property between the city and owners IOTA Purple, G3 Noranda, and the Arizona State Land Department.
