ADA lawsuit attorney faces questions from federal judge

A controversial attorney argued that he is doing “God’s work” to help disabled Arizonans as he found himself the target of grueling cross-examination from a federal judge over the tactics he’s used in suing 1,700 businesses, including many in the East Valley.

The Arizona Attorney General’s Office has accused Peter Strojnik of abusing the legal system by suing many small businesses over alleged Americans With Disabilities Act violations and making demands for large out-of-court settlements to cover legal fees, a practice also criticized by U.S. District Court Judge Neil Wake.
