County to spend $73 million on CG land purchase

FLORENCE — Pinal County is planning to spend up to $73 million on acquiring land for economic development purposes.

A public hearing on Jan. 4 during a Board of Supervisors meeting is scheduled to review the county’s plan. The meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. at 135 N. Pinal St. in Florence.

Joe Pyritz, a county spokesman, could not confirm or deny whether this public hearing is related to Lucid Motors, an electric car company planning to build a manufacturing plant in Casa Grande.
