Buckeye’s water resources director, David Nigh, has been placed on paid administrative leave, city officials confirmed Sunday.
The move comes in the wake of recent reports that water bills in the city were seeing a significant increase. That prompted numerous complaints from residents, some of who filed paperwork asking for a recall of Buckeye Mayor Jackie Meck.
Nigh was put on paid administrative leave Dec. 8, with Water Resources Manager Mark Seamans taking over for the time being, according to a statement Buckeye provided to the The Republic late Sunday.
