Federal budget would cut critical programs in Eloy

New federal government budget proposals set forth by the Trump administration could hit Eloy especially hard.

The budget would create dramatic cuts to after-school program funding as well as a loss of revenue for infrastructure and housing projects in Eloy, city and school officials say.

Of the many programs on the chopping block in President Donald Trump’s “Budget Blueprint to Make America Great Again” are ones that fund many of the electives and after-school programs in the Eloy Elementary School District.
