More police officers on the street, repairs for cracking city streets and help for economically struggling areas of the district.
Those are some of the issues at the forefront of the campaign for City Council in north Phoenix. A special election is underway to select a representative for more than 180,000 residents in District 3.
Two candidates are vying for the seat in the March 14 runoff election: Interim Councilwoman Debra Stark, who was temporarily appointed to the seat in June, and Chris DeRose, an attorney and historical author.
