Pinal County’s jobless rate jumped up last month after hitting a record low in April.
The state’s jobless rate ticked up a tenth of a point to 5.1 percent as Arizona employers shed more jobs last month than they typically do this time of year.
New figures from the Office of Economic Opportunity show total employment in May down by 14,700 from the prior month.
