MARICOPA — City Council members decided July 19 to move forward with plans to develop the Estrella Gin Business Park, but progress will be slow.
The council retreat was a meeting where council members discussed all aspects of economic development for the 2017-18 fiscal year. Some of the agenda items included investments in infrastructure, training and development for city employees and increasing and expanding city funding, among others.
One of the main topics discussed was the three top areas for economic development: Estrella Gin Business Park, the area surrounding Copper Sky Recreation Center and the 12 acres of available land around City Center.
