With $2M seed funding, this Phoenix-area startup looks to fill an Airbnb void

When Michael Chen, Andres Green and Barrett Glasauer were working for DoorDash, they attended an East Coast summit for the food delivery service startup in Washington D.C. Traveling with a group, they figured it would be easier to rent an Airbnb than pay more for a hotel.

Everything was fine until the air conditioning broke.

“During that whole ordeal we called Airbnb and they said look, we do not manage these properties so we can’t help you,” said Chen. “We then called the homeowner, but the homeowner was out of town and couldn’t help us either.”
