Proposed Casa Grande Historic Preservation ordinance adjusted following outcry

CASA GRANDE — An ordinance updating Casa Grande’s historic preservation rules will likely be back before the City Council soon, following a study session to discuss the issue.

On Monday, the council heard an update on the policy, which was controversial earlier this year when an amended ordinance was first discussed. The revisions proposed this week take into consideration feedback from residents of the Evergreen Historic District, most notably allowing for an “opt-out” clause.
