Candidate for Arizona Senate charged in domestic violence incident

A candidate for the Arizona Senate faces assault and criminal damage charges stemming from a fight earlier this year with his now ex-girlfriend.

Redeem Green Robinson, 28, was arrested April 17 when Phoenix police responded to a domestic violence call at an apartment he shared with the woman.

According to the police report, Robinson shoved the woman with open hands during an argument over his lost debit card. He also broke her laptop in half, smashed the screen of a television and kicked a large hole in a bedroom door, the report states.
