The new year looks to be shaping up as another good one for the home building sector, particularly where stocks are concerned. MarketWatchreports:
To be sure, those macro estimates aren’t all that bullish. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are forecasting 2018 housing starts of 1.25 million and 1.289 million, respectively, about 7% higher than they expected in 2017. The Mortgage Bankers Association forecasts almost that exact same increase in new home sales next year compared to this year.
