Wickenburg looks to the future

Close to 60 concerned residents and business owners on Monday evening learned more about the possibility of a redevelopment study currently being performed as part of the Town of Wickenburg’s strategic plan.

Felipe Zubia of the Matrix Design Group assured those in attendance at the neighborhood-style meeting at town hall that no plan currently exists, and the process is in its infancy. The Phoenix New York Company is leading the project which could ultimately result in the town adopting a dedicated redevelopment area (RDA) which would make that area subject to a group of state statutes which helps pave the way for improvement grants, Zubia explained.
