Disclosure: Rose Law Group represents Michael Pollack, who, along with 600+ residents in one-mile radius, opposed the car wash.
After hours of debate, the council votes in favor of the opposing residents.
According to www.azcentral.com, after almost three hours of debate on Feb. 8th, the Tempe City Council revoked building permits for a Quick Quack Car Wash planned at Baseline Rd. and McClintock Dr.
The council chamber was standing-room only as over 40 residents voiced their concerns, the article continued; opponents outnumbered those in favor of the carwash 3-to-1.
The opposition’s concerns focused mostly on noise and traffic while those in favor said that a carwash would be an upgrade from the old gas station that used to sit on the corner, the article noted.
