Council moves to permanently adjust 1979-80 base expenditure limits

At the Apache Junction City Council Meeting on April 3, 2018, the council unanimously approved the proposed permanent adjustment to the 1979-80 base expenditure limitation of the city. The adjustment would add $5.5 million to the original budget limitation. The figure looks ahead to possible growth opportunities, such as incorporating the water and water treatment districts into the city, as well as having funds ready if state or BLM land becomes available at auction.
