Casa Grande and Eloy were the fastest growing communities in Pinal County last year — but for very different reasons.
According to data released by the U.S. Census Bureau for population estimates in 2017, Pinal County saw notable total growth with a population of 430,237 compared to 415,115 in 2016.
Eloy actually added more people than Casa Grande both in total, 1,843, and as a percentage increase, 10 percent. The increase is an anomaly in the town’s recent history, with growth in 2016-17 representing 79 percent of Eloy’s total grown since 2010. The total population estimate is now 19,168.
