Rick Horst is just three weeks into his new job as Maricopa city manager, but he’s already excited to implement some of his plans.
Part of his plan is to become integrated into the community and meet with various groups, so he spoke with Chamber of Commerce members Thursday morning. Horst gave a quick overview of his background and his plans for Maricopa. His presentation was followed by questions from the members.
Horst expressed his excitement to join a new, growing city. He often refers to Maricopa as a blank canvas.
“What I’ve learned is that every city is different. Every city is unique,” he said.
