Surprise council candidates meet local voters

Would-be city leaders met last week for the first three of a series of five community forums presented by the Surprise Regional Chamber of Commerce to introduce City Council candidates to local voters.

The District 2 forum was hosted July 17 in the Palo Verde Room at Sonoran Plaza, 19789 N. Remington Drive, and featured candidates Alyson Cline, Wendell Fountain and Nancy Hayden.

The District 3 forum was hosted July 18 at Surprise Ford, 16825 W. Waddell Road, with candidates Patrick Duffy and Gisele Norberg.

And the District 1 forum was hosted July 19 at the Hampton Inn & Suites, 14783 W. Grand Ave., featuring candidates Jim Cunningham, Roland F. Winters Jr. and Raymond Grim.
